Going back to how the season looked to shakedown last summer, Purdue is the only surprise. Mo State was always a win. South Carolina was a game that could go either way. Purdue was an expected win. A blow out loss to Auburn wasn't out of the question.
It was fairly obvious the defense might struggle. Not really any surprises on that side if the ball.
The offense has been a major disappointment. I expected it to average 30+ a game.
And Odom, suspect the fire him roar is an over reaction. He wasn't dealt the best of hands and attrition has taken it's tole, u.e. The three kids who might well have have kept the D Line Zou alive got dismissed from the team, u.e. Lord, Brady and the kid who liked mushrooms.
As for the rest of the season, it's up to Heupek, his offensive assistants and Lock and crew.
