Dear Barry,

I wanted to respond to your passionate speech. First off good speech it was the right speech to make. It shows your heart, dedication, and commitment. Great speech.

Now back to reality.

First you mention this "There's not anybody left standing after 2015. Alright? I am"

You're correct because you fired everyone and brought in your own guys. You also let go of some of the best defensive players on the team. Lastly on this point maybe you did this to cement this was your team, you let go of one of the best most popular position coaches in Mizzou history. Why? As your defense and more specifically your D LINE gets shredded game after game maybe now you've learned in this line of work you must put your ego aside.

You also mentioned this is a turn around. Good point. How do you turn it around? It starts with recruiting and you've now had essentially three recruiting classes and each class gets worse than the one before on paper. What you've shown is no ability to recruit regional or even local players. There is no recruiting buzz around this program. You've somehow managed to end the Pinkle east st louis pipeline as well. So please respond and explain how your recruiting classes or your recruiting ability will turn this around. If this is about a turn around wouldn't it also reflect a turn around in recruiting. Almost half your recruiting was for 2 star players last year at the time they got an offer. Later many got elevated to 3 stars but who cares.

Where have you landed a big local star? Where is your 5 star guy? Best recruiting class in Missouri in a decade and you can't score one of the top 10. So please again explain in more detail how you're going to turn it around?

Also Barry you mention its a turn around... okay got it. Part of that turn around could also come from out coaching the other team. Another way to put it make the best of what you have! Are you out coaching anyone? You blew the GA game last year you totally blew it. Did you do anything yesterday to show us how clever you are?

Where was your passion to the players to motivate them like you did to the press? Fact is you're learning on the job in essentially the minor leagues for the NFL. Not a combination.

Lastly you mentioned Larry Smith turning everything around. False! Is Larry Smith your pattern for being successful at Mizzou if so we should fire you today.

Larry Smith coached Mizzou for SEVEN YEARS... his record was 33-45-1. He had two winning seasons 7-5 (lost bowl game) then 8-4 and won a bowl game. His first three seasons all losers, but then as you claimed turned the program around the team plunged back to losing (4-7) and (3-8) Larry Smith failed.

Gary Pinkel worst season at Mizzou was 4-7 his first and every year there after he proved stable some ups and some downs but from there his worst was 5-7 hardly anything like what we're seeing with you. Your first year you finished 4-8 and this year it appears you might win one maybe two more games tops.

Do we see the light at the end of the tunnel... NO!

Why? You're out coached over and over again plus your recruiting class SUCK!

Barry again nice speech but no you're NOT the right man for this job. Missouri is in the SEC they need a LEADER who can bring in great coaches, and recruiting classes and that just isn't you!
