His analogy was false as Vietnam was not a proxy war (my father did 2 tours in that ACTUAL war) and we did not use sanctions to pressure NV to cease hostilities

My direct response was that he missed the lessons of Vietnam raised in the Burns documentary.

Trump however, has not missed the lessons
