You can do that with some of the best shooters ever to play. I did know about them but I'm sure Penn State isn't a school to pop into the mind when we think of good basketball. What we do know is over a three year career he has shown he's done better then anyone presently on the team and the coaching staff wanted him badly. One last point from me on this. I've seen the position taken before when there are several decent to Hall of Fame players who didn't play at the "P5" level.
So that's a mythology to me. You judge each individual over an extended period against top level competition. We'll get that from all the newcomers this year. As I said for the most part I'll take any level of D1 over high school.
