still here. All we had to do was demonstrate a commitment to trying in men's basketball to not drive them away.

None of the events that occurred (hiring Cuonzo, hiring Porter Sr, signing the various players, etc) could not have happened in 2016-17 rather than 2017-18. In fact, all of them would have been more easily accomplished in 2016-17.
