Sterk has a program to sell to potential coaches and to existing and potential donors:
- he needs to be able to sell the idea that Odom was simply a short-term dip in what is a longer term upward trajectory, the unfortunate result of the CS1950 protests, a short-term failure of leadership and a loser AD in Mack Rhodes who was simply unqualified for the job.
- then he needs to be able to sell the idea that MU is still an SEC job with a long-term upward trajectory and interested and enthused supports. He can point to a under-construction SEZ project as proof of that.
Sterk may never have more to sell to prospective coaches than what he'll have after this season. It's going to be painful but I think he's going to pull the bandaid off quickly.
