This will be an exciting and frustrating season. The offense will gain lots of yards and score lots of points against most everybody on the schedule. The defense will give up lots of yards and points to everybody on the schedule. Barring an injury to Drew Lock, the Tigers will win more than they lose.
A team usually has kids from five recruiting classes. This team has three Pinkel and two Odom classes. Odom deserves to a shot at showing what he can do with his kids.
Odom inherited a program headed downhill. Recruiting was suffering due to (1) the switch of out of state emphasis from Texas to the Southeast, (2) negative recruiting by other schools over the 2015 boycott and related incidents, and (3) facilities issues, i.e. the reason for the SEZ project.
Saner heads will recognize that Odom has fewer resources to work with than about ten other SEC programs.
