Billions of people are walking around spellbound in a consensual-reality-consumeristic trance.

We don't want the Earth to die, the rivers killed or the mountain tops annihilated ... but we also do want our Doritos, our cars, our fancy pants, a nice spacious bathroom and a fridge full of goodies.

Yet if we're going to have any kind of future on this planet then we must break out of this consensual trance.

We must begin the long and painful journey of unplugging and detoxing, of rewinding and reconstructing the ecological empathy that we traded in for cheap thrills along the way.

Face this tough truth. Or don't.
