The teams are the issue, remove yourself slightly from the whole us vs them thing and you will almost always get a better picture. I think it's almost impossible to be completely unbiased, but being open to the fact that the guys on your side might actually suck is a huge opening of the eyes for most people.

I voted for Trump in the primary and the general, but I knew what I was getting. I knew what he wanted to do, and I knew my worst case scenario was an ineffective president. I'm good with that. Other people want to win and anything less than a complete destruction of the Obama legacy is a failure. Someone has to pay for their past loss.
