securing a firearm in your home to actively stop a break-in is NOT the same as proactively DETERRING people from targeting your home in the first place.

My guess is if you use an alarm system (or even just lie and post a sign and not have one) and put some lights on your home and keep your house and car locked, you'll never be bothered.

Thieves target easy marks. Don't be one.

OR, you can keep your house unlocked, don't use lights, no alarm system and leave valuable in sight of open windows and entice thieves - SO YOU CAN SHOOT THEM!
