I've never quite understood this "rookie coach" thing that

is so often thrown out. Anyone who gets to be a HC, in a major sport and major conferences, has plenty of experience, surely starting in early HS. Maybe he had some bad coaching, but how can that experience not cancel some of the so-called mistakes that we see and that the majority see also. And by majority I mean basically the casual fan, most of whom probably never played the sport. It applies to both fb and especially to bb.

I must be missing something.
