It's hard not to interject politics into a topic like this but I really take exception to this particle line:
"If I was a person of color and I had the talent/opportunity to play in college, I probably wouldn't even give a school in Missouri a look during a time like this."
The NAACP travel advisory is entirely based on Senate Bill 43 which involves employment discrimination. I don't really see how that would impact a HS kids decision to attend college if they actually look into the advisory. We've been dealing with a lot of misinformation and faulty assumptions since November of 2015. Mizzou, the state of Misouri, and the city of Columbia are all generally very welcoming to people of all different backgrounds. We've been caught in the middle of a huge political debate after 11/15 from both sides and this travel advisory seems like more of the same. It is more of a click-bait type of action than a real measure of substance in my opinion.
