Investigative screw ups not withstanding, he was in felony possession of a controlled substance. The cop failed to get a search warrant. That doesn't mean it's not that bad. It is that bad. He just won't get treated as harshly because of the illegal search, IN THE LEGAL SYSTEM. He should be treated by Mizzou for the level of the offense, not the level of the prosecution.
