Simply put, if YOU believe it's true, then it's true. But not just "believe," KNOW. Now here's the mind trick: you trick yourself into thinking what you believe is what you know. Viola! Science! uh er SCIENTOLOGY! So, if, despite all the evidence to the contrary, if he believes himself to be conservative he can delude himself to "know" he's conservative.
