I actually agree with Trump on the transgender issue...

with respect to military service. I support the right of a transgender person to serve, but I don't support the idea that the military should pay for expensive transgender surgeries.

I recognize that given the billions we spend on defense every year, a few millions for these surgeries in the budge is miniscule, but it's the principle.

They just had a guy on TV who was transgender and he described his surgeries as being every bit as necessary as a surgery for a non-transgender soldier to have a back surgery or a knee re-construction. I don't agree.
