as they did getting the other one fired this wouldn't have escalated into the mess it did.

Wolfe shouldn't have offered Loftin the job without any input from the BOC.

And really, the BOC should have offered the System President job to any other finalists (namely Brady Deaton or Kit Bond) instead of Tim Wolfe.
