As an aside, kind of surprised that Devin didn't come to watch Melvin play.

“It felt like 1994 all over again,” Booker said of the warm welcome. “We had a great year that year. All the fans remember that. Every time I come back here, that’s the one thing people always talk about is that 14-0 season we had in the conference. They’ll never forget it.”
In those days, however, Booker — the 1994 Big 8 player of the year — and the Tigers played in the Hearnes Center across the street. Saturday was the first time he’d ever played at Mizzou Arena, which was built in 2004.
When asked to compare the two, he admitted he was a little biased.
“Hearnes is the best arena in the world,” he said, giving special praise to the D section at the very top of the arena. “The fans are on top of you. I miss the Hearnes Center a lot.”
Saturday was also the first time Rickey Paulding had ever been inside a crowded Mizzou Arena to play or watch a game. Paulding, who has lived and played in Germany for 10 years, finished with seven points for Team Bowers.
“It’s state-of-the-art, everything is nice. But the Hearnes Center is special,” said Paulding, who played at Missouri from 2001-04 and is the program’s 10th all-time leading scorer. “That’s where I grew up. That’s where I played. That will always have a special place for me. But this is great. This is the new Mizzou basketball.”
The arena was still new to Justin Gage, too. He played football and basketball at Missouri from 1999-2002.
“Where are the locker rooms?” he asked as he walked off the floor.
