Nor would I be dismissive of any program that whipped my team twice in consecutive years ten yrs ago. The bottom line is Ole Miss historically is Mizzou. As for basketball Mizzou is not on the same planet as them. Interesting you use WV as an example because I know WV is a solid program with an absolutely rabid fan base, and I know this because I have a pulse and can read. There lies the difference between this area and SEC country, there seems to be very little awareness from fans and especially media of the history and accomplishments of other schools. For example how many media folks knew upon our entry into the SEC knew we owned Texas A&M for several years? Yet we were looked as the throw in Vandyesque school. What's A&M done? It's water under the bridge as I know we will never get respect no matter what from our fellow SEC brethren.
