that is OJ, but for others who will be condemned as racist or sexist for not agreeing with PC standards, and that those OTHER FACTORS could be used in the decision.
Your point is well made and compelling and it makes it more difficult to separate the issues.
If the board has legitimate OTHER FACTORS exclusive of the murder, and if the murder in no way influences the board's decision, fine.
But i do not think that as a society, we should allow an unelected (i assume) board to determine that the jury got it wrong and stiffen a sentence on the basis that the parole board knows better than the jury.
Even when that is true. It is a precedent i do not want to set.
