points to "Victimhood Chic". The offspring of years of handing out participation awards and working to inflate peoples' egos has resulted in a victimhood culture.
People do not take responsibility for their own lives and bad shiit that happens to them. They blame others for their failures instead of taking responsibility for their own problems.
The media propagates this by giving airtime to victimhood claimers. This results in outrage from others who then reply back. The media covers this as well resulting in a ****storm of victims complaining about injustice, and no one being adult enough to take responsibility instead of whining and complaining.
We glorify victimhood pushers in our culture, not do'ers.
