That could be debated.

Gabe is very professional and he treats his journalism as if he were an impartial 3rd party. He does his job as a reporter at USA Today, or another big, national publication should do. At there is something about that to be commended.
But, that is not who he is, or his job. He is not an impartial 3rd party. He is heavily invested in his subject matter, and he produces a publication that exists for the sole purpose of covering, and yes promoting, his subject.
I do not fault Gabe for writing the article. It was not slander, it was a collection of facts. He's not saying these kids can't do it. He said many of the previous ones didn't. Not his fault that others can't distunguish, just like most fans think overrated=sucks.
The issue here is that even though it's not his fault, he has to know that it will happen and take that into consideration.
Gabe's issue is when he says thinks like he doesn't get involved. BS. He is the heart of involved. He spends so much time acting as if he doesn't care, that he starts to sound disingenuous. And maybe he should stop and think about how maybe he should be viewing things fro the other side. Because again, he's PowerMizzou, and not PowerAllOfCollegeFootball.
