Might want to review freshman film of Bowers

He and Smith both contributed in the same way as freshmen. Bowers just had a better coach and more help around him. The biggest difference was that Bowers was more sound fundamentally on defense, Smith kept getting out of position and not moving his feet. So would get out of position.

If Smith wants to take a similar development path, he needs to put on weight. Bowers got up 220+ in each of his last 3 seasons played.
