NSIAP: Seems to me the smoke about Trout and Perkins to OU

is more of a fire than a rumor. Reading Gabes mailbag, he never says that but a question came up about losing ground especially with Trout and Perkins being disappointing. Gabe said maybe we finish strong but didn't dispute the lost ground here.

It just goes to show you that winning division titles means little to nothing. We've NEVER gotten a recruiting boost from it, though not fair to say because some on this staff were not here.

You have to have recruiters, tradition and facilities to play recruiting with the big boys. Trout and Perkins to OU even after Stoop(id)s leaves just proves that.

It doesn't matter how many kids you put in the NFL or what system you run, it means nothing to these kids. Either enhance the program or pull an Ole Miss, never go the Baylor route though.

Maybe this will help my fellow Mizzou fans understand that its means nothing when talking about what programs with prestige have and have not done wins wise the past 20 years.

Les Miles got 4 and 5 star QB after QB while literally not knowing how to develop one of them. Kids walk on campus, are blown away and buy into the sales pitch. It is that simple.
