mandated to provide for the defense of our country and enforce its laws then yes both of those would be very conservative positions.

Like most I have some serious reservations about our mideastern policy but it is serving to protect Americans both home and abroad.

Since immigration policy has been set to law by Congress it is the duty of the feds to enforce those laws. If you do not think those laws are valid then work to see them repealed.
