Re: your question about why I have not signed up to have it fixed - it is very expensive. I am reminded of a lovely line from some Jerry tune 'Everybody's got their troubles too". I set up 18 months to lock away enough on an HSA and got a "family doc" to get it ordered. The scumbag told me "it wasn't that bad". He was wrong. And a few months later I had left the job and the insurance. C'est la vie, c'est la guerre. I come from very healthy stock. If something "serious" strikes, I will face it and move on. No worries.
