ahead of actual implementation, their existing immigration policies appear to show a problem. According to the news last night, there are a number of people (several hundred according to the report) who traveled from the UK to Syria, stayed a month or two and have now returned. One would think they would pay special attention to those folks.
As for the immigration policy itself, it's a form of prevention/risk mitigation. Very difficult to quantify results of things that don't happen. Just because it doesn't happen doesn't mean that the policy was responsible for the (non)event. Just because it does happen does not mean that the policy didn't keep other events from occurring.
