Actually works out well. STL did not want to extend there Affiliate Agreement with the Wolves & Vegas will have too many vets from the draft to keep up on the Knights &, at the same time, won't even have enough players to fill it with personnel, so it works for & benefits both teams, while the Blues set up their new AHL affiliate & Vegas tries to get up the speed.
AHL didn't want to expand this year & so there will be 31 NHL teams & 30 AHL teams for a year. AHL will expand next year & it will be the Blues new team & affiliate market.
