The govt isnt responding in a way that suggests everything is fine and nothing was disclosed.
The WH is defending itself against the WAPO story saying that sources and methods were not revealed. But the article, according to its author, does not say that sources and methods are disclosed. Rather, it says, that a specific plot was discussed, from which sources and methods can be discerned.
Why then, after this meeting took place, did the National Security Council feel it was necessary to contact the directors of both the CIA and the NSA to alert them what Trump had just told the Russians?
