yeah i mean within 3 years 68% are rearrested and within 5 years 77% are rearrested so why KEEP them in prison longer. smh

you have any idea of the cost of recidivism? it's much higher than keeping violent criminals locked up for longer periods of time. how do you put a price on the cost to the family of someone murdered by an offender who should be all rights still be locked up?

i can't tell you how many people i have run across with DOZENS of felony convictions who are just out and about on no supervision. i have seen guys with 40 to 50 felony convictions who are out. i have seen people with multiple MURDER convictions who are out and not on any paper.

the prison system isn't broken. it's the probation and parole system that is a farce

and please stop with the MYTH of drug offenders clogging up the system. that is a lie that is easily disproven with tiny bit of research.
