A lot of schools were trying to hire Porter Sr. for MPJ and Jontay, and yet they went with Cuonzo (who has recruited numerous 5-stars before in his career).

Blake Harris was projected to commit to Michigan State / Tom Izzo, but Cuonzo won that battle as well.

He beat Georgia Tech / Josh Pastner in a head-to-head battle for Kassius Robertson, one of the top grad transfers of 2017.

He got CJ Roberts to reaffirm his commitment to the program (evidently, Roberts' interest in MU had more to do with the school than the coach).

And he's considered to be in the lead for Jeremiah Tilmon, who until recently was an Illinois signee.

And all of this in about 6 weeks.

It's remarkable.
