of an impact in-state than it did outside the borders of Missouri, especially in the St. Louis area. Combine the problems here with the Ferguson situation that preceded it and a lot of St. Louis kids are probably very wary of Mizzou, even if that is somewhat misguided.
I think our African American coaches/staff members like Cross, Ofodile and Cornell Ford need to clue these young men in and convince them that CoMo isn't some sort of hotbed of racism. In fact, it's probably a whole lot less racist than the Western suburbs of St. Louis. After all, if it's so bad here, why do so many former black players stick around Columbia?
