I'm not talking who got shot nor am I even justifying it.

But the article states the car the deceased was in was heading towards the officer in a threatening manner. You can't necessarily assume he should've just jumped out of the way as no evidence was presented to conclude that he could or could not have done that.

So please, what is your take on self defense in this instance?
