the original models that inaccurately predicted the impact of CO2 emissions incorrectly implemented a feedback algorithm. This mistake exponentially increased the effect of CO2 within the model. This model is used in a vast majority of climate models.
When algorithm was corrected, models actually start lining up with the actual temperature changes we have seen instead of predicting the ridiculously drastic temperature changes that never materialized.
