I wish taking statues down solved the inner city problems.

The problem, that everyone knows and doesn't want to talk about, is that it's not the statues or white people causing the crime and misery.
It's far easier to trot out BLM, take down statues, than to tell those poor victims of liberal policies they suck and need to change. And, until they do, it will only get worse no matter how much free govt money they get.
Oh well. Education, don't do/sell drugs, have a kid when married, you'll have a 90% chance to avoid poverty.
That message just doesn't sell, or buy votes in the inner cities for dems.
