Here I will explain it to you child.
You ask why are Manatees important - or "need to remain".
Well you Beav, manatees are part of the ecosystem and play a vital role in that ecosystem. Thus if one were to accept the commonly accepted idea that the strength of a system is based in large part to its diversity and the coinciding strength of its members - then Manatees are important. Most seventh graders could get that from my post - remind me I need to respond to your posts in a more remedial fashion.
