of a river. One day, a villager noticed a baby floating down the river. The villager quickly ran and swam out to save the baby from drowning. The next day, this same villager noticed two babies in the river. The following day, three more! The villagers tried to save the babies one at a time, but they could still not keep up.

What is the moral of the story?
