At LB, we have 6 guys that can rotate, plus the hybrid or "nickel" guys in Warren and Prewett. There are quite a few guys vying at S, so I don't know why that's a concern. WR is very deep. The dropping-the-ball thing is on Lock, too. They all need to get better delivering and catching the ball, sure. Again, those guys are now old enough to be much better. I remember guys like Lucas, Sasser, Hunt, etc. struggling until their JR years. No surprise J'Mon was our best guy and one of the best in the SEC as a JR.
I really think Acy, Holmes, and Cheadle are solid at CB, but there's a drop off. Again, zero surprise if 1 or more of the FR kids get time this year. Fortunately, CB seems to be a position where there aren't a lot of injuries. We'll see.
McCann should be one of the best in the nation. I think 95% of his problems were youth and nerves. I'll bet he'll be much better this year. I thought coverage units were solid last year, but return units left a little to be desired. That's a correctable issue.
