in terms of Defense of the World - and we did it b/c important people make a sht ton of money off Defense.
For the umpteenth time here I bring up the horrorshow comment made by Poppy Bush at the "collapse" of the Soviet Union - that the US could expect and enjoy a health Peace Dividend. The Defense industry flipped out. That's their money you are talking about. And they were NOT about to let some Peace Dividend by enjoyed by the people or that Vast Treasure know as defense shared. THAT is why we do what we do. People are making a LOT of money off of - huh - YOU.
