Trump's campaign reminded me of Obama's. As an "outsider" you can campaign on change using vague language or just plain lies. Your plans don't actually have to make sense in the real world. You campaign at the level of aspirations because you don't have much of a track record to contradict the empty childish rethoric.

This illustrates why organizing political movements around personalities is so stupid. It plays right into the hands of the existing power structure.
