Reading posts can be informative as one reads a cross section of opinion. One can somewhat learn the variance in beliefs and how that varience affects their opinion. Sort of a window to the Midwest.
And as pathetic as it may sound it is a social connection. There are a few people on this board I could consider as a friend.
