Finally, starting to address the Employment/Income gap

As we've been saying for a while, the open and honest discussion on race begins with the "fact" that racism is systemic, pervasive and debilitating.
It is none of those.
Racism exists in individuals. And like our discussion on violence last week, it can not be negotiated away or legislated away. And brace yourself, racism is not the exclusive province of white people.
Anyway, here in blacksburg, montgomery county is finally starting to do something with this mythically pernicious affront to humanity. A workshop will be held at virginia tech to address racial disparities in employment opportunities nationally and in montgomery county.
It's about time. Actually, it's about political correctness.
