He's a doctor who was calling his lawyer before getting off. He had patients to see and wanted to make sure this was legal or whatever.

Or that's the story I read, at least. Seems totally reasonable to me. Maybe United should've offered more than $800 to make room. This is gonna cost them a hell of a lot more.
