was settled science. The 'settled science' claim is a que that you are talking to someone who zero understanding of science.
Climate science has been taken over by political zealots who, unfortunately, control the purse strings. If you want continued grant funding, the life blood of academia, your findings better mesh with the political views of those controlling the funds. It is the exact same thing that happened with cigarette research in the 60s-80s only this time it is the politicians doling out the cash.
