But who thinks this is some great accomplishment? If it costs $35 to apply to all 23 schools at once, why would anyone interested in any HBCU not do that?
And um, HBCU are um, not that tough to get in to.
And she wanted to go to a black school because she wanted a place that felt like home.
That's sweet.
And 80% of students who apply at alcorn are accepted. Most are not debating between princeton and alcorn state.
To be clear, i am not bashing the kid or the school. But why is this news? Standards are now so low, especially for minorities, that this is heralded as some great achievement.
