The people who said that we should be friends with Russia must have not been paying attention to Syria until now.
"In order to protect the most sensitive objects of the Syrian infrastructure, ... air defense systems will be implemented," ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement carried on state media.
At what point, other than meddling to get your guy elected, have they proven to be good friends or allies?
