war in europe. It ended the war in the pacific.

It ended slavery and the civil war.

You could argue that violence is the best or even the ONLY way to permanently end conflicts.

Jews and the muzz have been hating and killing each other for thousands of years.

Camp david accords, nice try.
Cease fires, um no.
UfN resolutions, get serious.

Generally, wars are over when one side wins and one side loses. That is not to say that like the treaty of versailles in 1919, the ending of one conflict cannot be the reason for the next.

But i disagree that violence does not end conflicts.

The greeks, the spartans, the romans, the aztecs conflicts ended with victory and death.
