are associate deans of diversity, and other such absurdities.
That means there are DEANS of diversity, and african american studies, and lesbian eskimo poets of the 18th century. And secretaries and support staff and office space and other costs to support PC nonsense.
Universities are loathe to get rid of useless stuff, costly stuff like tenured professors and silly courses. Instead the whine that they don't have enough money.
Tech is raising its tuition and fees. Like most government agencies, cutting waste is not an option.
