The concentration camps were liberated as part of the offensive against Germany. Sadly, no special efforts were made to liberate the concentration camps prior to that time If you think the US entered World War II in Europe to liberate the concentration camps, you are sadly mistaken. In fact, Roosevelt would not except any Jewish refugees in the run-up to World War II. Why was that? Do you think he gave a damn about Jewish lives?
