Their strict adherence to dogma cost the GOP control of the Senate in 2010 and 2012.

Had the "Freedom Caucus" been smart, they would have voted for the Shi*t Sandwich Ryancare Repeal and Replace Bill last week knowing that the Senate would dissect it and change it dramatically before returning it to the House for another final vote. Refusing to vote for the Repeal and Replace Bill was short sighted and hurt their political value.

Sometimes, the prudent action is to compromise knowing you have another chance to play hardball later on the same topic.
