So you are saying that solar is not appropriate for everywhere. So, where, exactly is it appropriate? What are the conditions for "appropriate?"
Now, is it honest to compare the cost of kilowatt hours to the cost of watts? That's how you presented the comparative costs through Spanky.
Then there's the unspoken issue of how rapidly photvoltaic cells degrade. Over time they produce less and less. Were Spanky's numbers lifetime average or new cells?
Not to challenge Spanky's honesty but solar is his job (which I did not know before) and it would be natural for him to present it in the best, most ideal light. So, you really need to come up with an unbiased source--not that you know how or are inclined to do so.
And then, what do you do when the sun doesn't shine, like cloudy days and at night?
Finally--the elephant in the room--if solar has become so inexpensive, why aren't you calling for an end to taxpayer-paid subsidies?
